Pros

The opportunity for personal growth and development is exceedingly strong here. Cloudera is a Global company but still "small" enough that if you see a gap, process improvement or opportunity you have the ability to take accountability of it, research improvements, get mngt approval and roll out changes on a global scale, all without crippling processes like some the larger companies out there. Personally I have not worked in a Company with such focus on personal development until now. A simple example, my own department approached the Learning and development team team with a high level idea about our team training, less than 1Qtr later we have a personalised learning path identified which can be easily adopted by other departments and made costume to an individuals needs. We are encouraged to think of the innovative steps and I would feel heard with each change I have presented. A key example of our flexibility is if a stakeholder is facing bottlenecks or delays in getting to where they need to be, our management will ask us to review our own processes and ask "Why". If, as a team, we can not stand behind our SOPs, processes and engagement rules then that is a catalyst for change - removing the old age phrase of "We do it that was because we just always did it that way". The work is dynamic & rewarding with a real sense of ownership and ability to influence change in your team, management team and even to Sr level mngt. Personally I have huge respect for my mngt line, I know they will support me in change if it is required but also fully in my corner if and when situations arise where I will push back on stakeholders to prevent issues in other areas of the business. I have recommended and referred many people of the years to Cloudera and will still recommend it today. Plus - my primary benefit is additional days off in addition to an already healthy holiday allowance. During Covid the CEO announced the "Unplugged" days. Pre-marked days most of the company will shut down, for no other reason than to support mental health. These have been so priceless that the CEO has kept this plus since Covid days. So every so often I will get a Friday off, just because, or maybe the Friday & Monday for an extra long weekend. The specific dates are released in Jan to allow people to plan around the long weekends with their families :)

Cons

Not any I believe worthwhile discussing to be honest. I am a strong advocate for this company so if you want a role that you can implement changes, with a company not crippled by processes and still have a work life balance then go for it.

Pros

- Work life balance is REAL!! This is due to the Unplug days given on top of your annual leave so in total I would have 35+ leave days - Your opinion matters in this company where I have seen changes happened just because I raised a concern. Management is always open for discussion - Cloudera also ALWAYS strive for improvements and efficiencies! The use of BOT (RPA) and Macro really helps with our daily tasks -Cloudera work's culture also allows me to say that I LOVE MY JOB which I was never able to say that in my previous jobs - The Hybrid model of working is unreal too as I don't need to go to the office every day and only goes in if I need to so most of the time I work from home

Cons

The only cons I can think of due to the flat structure in Cloudera it is harder to get promoted (but I think that's probably the same across industry)
