      Pros

      The market opportunity is massive, and the merger with Hortonworks makes a lot of sense. We also have an executive staff that believes strongly in fostering an environment of openness.

      Cons

      The technology we provide has almost limitless applications; but its a difficult sale, and still complex to use.

      Good offices Free lunches Flexible environment A few really talented people left, but bleeding hard Exciting technology in an exciting domain & era Big customer base

      Cons

      Inversed meritocracy: work well, do grunt work, execute & please customers, you will get nothing (and someone else will get the credit). Screw-up, befriend management or old timers and you will get an all-hands shootouts and promo Too many unnecessary layers or middle layer/PM obfuscating reality and who have zero clue. Any creativity is getting killed by those. Competition already passed-us
