      It used to be an amazing company.

      Cons

      Before the merger with Hortonworks it was a phenomenal company to work for, but since the merger and subsequent buyout by a PE firm, there is no more stock so TC dropped in half, and the organization became incredibly top heavy. Overall most talented folks have left this company and it's sadly a shadow of it's former self.

      Work-life balance Benefits over all Some mid level leaders actually care about people

      Cons

      How can you heartlessly lay off people and still be hiring for other areas!? Shouldn’t you try a bit harder to keep your talents, keep families stable, and not let go of people during the holidays before you hire new people? I felt for the first time in my corporate America journey just like another number. Because that is what workers are for Cloudera, another number!

      Some people here very political especially management in Austin. Some people also have strong feelings to control and show that they are better than you. Rude words happen in working chat all the time.
