      Pros

      Cloudera is overall a great place to work! All of the founders are great people. Tom is a very approachable CEO. It is a great network of people!

      Cons

      While the new Sales Leadership is good, I think they need to listen more closely to the tenured employees. We are solving complex problems. The process is much different from what many of the newer field team members are accustom to. This is ok, see Advice to Management :)

      Pros

      Product is technically challenging and it keeps some of the best people. You will have a great time if you really enjoy the work OR are politically right( not a pro? :-) ). Work life balance is great, and the company really tries to maintain/improve this. Salary is good compared to other not-so-technical company.

      Cons

      Many smart people left or think of leaving, and the quality of new hires becomes worse and worse. Product is so operational and supportably challenging that it is hard to earn money. Some of the managers do not know what they are doing or just care too little. Company is loosing its hiring bar probably because not enough good people want to join at this point.

      Pros

      Cloudera has great technology that can make a significant impact to the companies who deploy it. We also have the know-how and dedication to help customers be successful in their implementations. Our engineers are amazing and our founders second to none. I have a tremendous support team and we are all focused on making customers successful, my passion and reason I love being in sales.

      Cons

      As the company grows, so does the internal process. I think this is normal and required but I prefer less structure. That said, the pros of working at Cloudera far outweigh any of the small irritations created as the company becomes more structured.
