Pros

A company that is fast moving and growing, but still maintains it's value and vision. There are many amazing people who work here, and it's a friendly atmosphere. The Executive staff is visible and down-to-earth.

Cons

Only con would be if you aren't familiar with a start-up/privately held company the work load could be daunting. But it certainly is manageable. It's all about prioritizing and putting yourself forward to maintain connected to what is going on.

Pros

There is a vast amount of new technology to work with. Everyone in the field engineering organization (pre and post sales) is happy to share information or help someone who is stuck on an issue. We get lots of opportunities to learn new technology. And my favorite part - prospects are eager to talk with us. Senior management is on top of issues and correcting course when needed. Did I mention how much fun I am having?

Cons

We really are SalesForce driven in the field - constantly having to update it for accounts can be a pain.,

Pros

The culture and energy at Cloudera is collegial, smart, informal and driven. It is a small, rapidly-growing company focused on trying to hire people we already know, which keeps things informal. Expectations are both reasonable and high, and the incentive to perform well comes in a number of ways. I like this company; I love the people who work for it.

Cons

Demand can be intense, and it can be hard to find work-life balance on a week-to-week basis. It's hard sometimes to feel like you're contributing as much as the next person. Sometimes the atmosphere can tend more towards sober and serious. Then again, the people here truly want to win at what they do.
