Pros

Decent work/life balance. The benefits are decent. The vacation policy and holidays are a great benefit. The domain is fairly interesting and the company is growing. The new CEO appears to care and is very approachable.

Cons

There are no systems or frameworks in place for CI/CD. There is a small group that is initiating a true cloud platform but it is very much a work in progress. The development teams lack qualified developers, for the most part. The legacy monolithic application is a chaotic mess of libraries and custom code that doesn't follow industry standards for dependency injection, database calls, etc. New microservices don't follow the normal Spring patterns and are often times poorly implemented. All of this can be summarized by a lack of leadership in the development ranks and a lack of priority on what is important in enterprise development.

Pros

Over all it's a quite nice working environment with lots of perks, free meals, drinks, snacks, great medical insurance coverage.

Cons

Setting up local test environment could be a headache for developers.

Pros

Working from home is good.

Cons

- Zero process, and no desire to implement. In fact, process-averse. - People seem to think they know how to do their and everyone else's jobs (very low respect for skill level of co-workers). - Management is very poor, and attempts to take employees' ideas, massage them, and make them their own. - Product quality is sloppy and outdated. - Back end systems are clunky and unrelated, so there's lots that can't be implemented.
