Pros

Not sure where some negative reviews were coming from: it made me pause a bit when I was comparing offers but I decided to join Clover to go with my gut and I never regretted that decision. 1. Flat organization that has less red tape. I don’t feel VPs and CEO are unapproachable. They are actually relatable and easy to approach and talk with. They help solving problems and clear road blocks for you. 2. Young organization that has lots of potentials. Clover is now a subsidiary of First Data but Clover itself is young. The company was founded just a few years ago and we are in the midst of shaping ourselves: product development, software development processes, and user centered design processes. This is when you can make an impact. I start to see more data driven product and design decisions just after joining Clover for a bit less than a year. To run a successful product, data informing decisions would be part of the DNA, and we are getting better and better on that. 3. Incredibly smart and fun-to-work-with co-workers. The best part of working at Clover is you can learn from your co-workers and they learn from you. 4. Great benefit. 100% paid insurance premiums including family members. It’s over $20,000 overhead per person for the company. Clover feeds people very well here too.

Cons

I’d appreciate Clover providing FSA-Childcare option. This is essentially $ contributed by employees so seems odd that we don’t have it. Absorbing companies to Clover can be challenging. Culture clashes happen which is much expected. I wish we could be more open about communication rather than be politically right.
