Pros

Overall decent place. Good people. I work from home which I like.

Cons

They will try to pay you as little as possible. I don't like their review system which dictates bonuses. I find it inconsistent.

Thank you for taking the time to highlight the great people and work that we do. Our hybrid environment is a highlight for many at the bank, as is our competitive total compensation package. We regularly examine market averages and provide competitive compensation, along with a healthy performance-based annual incentive. It’s great to see that you’ve been with us for over four years, and we appreciate your commitment to the bank.

Benefits are great. Worker bees work hard.

Cons

Supervisors are either micro managers to the level of harassment or completely incompetent.

Pros

Flexible work schedule (dependent on job role), decent 401k benefit plan, good people

Cons

A general lack of accountability on behalf of senior leadership, retaliatory treatment from management, bonuses promised to employees aren’t always paid out, opportunities for advancement in a non-leadership role are very few and far between, HR/recruiting department can be deceitful presenting job description and salary information to internal employees and external candidates, lack of structured training and educational resources for on the job, some associates are required to work overtime hours they’re not compensated for due to understaffing and budgeting issues, constant turnover across all levels of experience at the bank creating a wide knowledge gap, salaries can oftentimes be lower than the national market average, not all employees are able to participate in hybrid/remote work due to the lack of structure around the program, leadership whittles employees down by piling on work above their capacity until they quit

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We at CoBank are committed to fostering a supportive and fair work environment, and your concerns are taken seriously. It's encouraging to know that aspects like our flexible work schedules, 401k benefits, and the quality of our team members are valued. These are areas of pride for us, and we will continue to focus on them. We are actively hiring to ensure equitable workloads and encourage associates to spread the word about open positions. To encourage associate recommendations, those who refer a candidate that is hired will earn a net reward of $3,500. Additionally, we are continuously reviewing our compensation packages to ensure they remain competitive as well as exploring flexible work arrangements to cater to the diverse needs of our associates. Last year, CoBank created the GROW initiative that is a direct response from feedback associates provided. There are now clear and defined career growth paths with more focus on career development. We see your feedback as an opportunity for growth and improvement. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any further concerns or suggestions at feedback@cobank.com.
