Pros

Job Stability Work life balance is good

Cons

Operations growth opportunities are a joke. They promote individuals they like not necessarily because they deserve it. They forget about the people who trained the individuals they are promoting. Also, the pay is not so great compared to the economy.

Pros

CoBank has lots to offer to employees and a bright future. If you are looking for a job in Denver, you will not do much better than CoBank. It is a steady employer with a great location in Denver. The bank does important work in service of rural America. Importantly, it is a well-resourced bank that gives its employees the tools and resources necessary to do their jobs. Folks are open to new ideas and there is an infrastructure in place to bring these ideas to fruition. The bank has good benefits including a payed volunteer day off and gives each employee $500 to donate to a charity of their choice - two of my favorites.

Cons

No place is going to be everything to everyone. My only complaint is that I wish the salaries were higher (who doesn't). While CoBank pays at market, the Denver market is totally out of touch with the reality of how expensive it is to live in Denver. CoBank is definitely an employer of choice, but it needs to start paying like one.
