Pros

Good location, compensation and benefits. Challenging work and pleasant coworkers. Gym on site for use by employees of building occupants for a low monthly fee.

Cons

Senior Management lacks diversity. Culture and Values lack diversity. Working long hours may be required. Work/Life balance is not emphasized.

Leading the industry in all ways except treating people right

Pros

Benefits are top-notch. People are generally smart and accomplished. It's fun to know you work for an innovative and industry-leading company. The company has a lot of resources for advertising and infrastructure spending. Over time you can make a lot of money off the stock.

Cons

The CEO, though smart and visionary, seems to enjoy gleefully insulting people--either behind their backs or to their face--and in more demeaning and classless ways than I've heard of even in fiction. Overall the environment is characterized by changing winds and a level of irrationality and disregard for people that is rather astonishing. People who do well here get good at taking the proverbial beatings and then turning a blind eye to how others are being treated, or even worse--participating by becoming bullies themselves. Even the HR department is powerless and the CEO publicly acknowledges and laughs when he says he's about to do or say something he knows HR won't support, but he does it anyway.
