Pros

As many other before me have said, the people you share your long, repetitive days with make the whole thing bearable. The technology is great, and certainly better than previous office environments.

Cons

The company are not customer focused, which is funny because during the interview process all they want to know is how you have previously dealt with customer issues. As long as CoStar sign their customers up to long expensive contracts, then they don't really care how you as an employee gets on with the daily grind. I understand that any job needs to have some form of a target to work towards, however the excessive use of them here, and the lack of feedback being taken on, only serves to unnerve staff. At least half of the staff in here are unhappy I know because we all talk about it, the good reviews below are clearly management written, it has that corporate ring to it. Thats how bad it is, that management have to write their own reviews. Last year after an extensive study into our working day and the difference in levels on workload from area to area, management agreed with us. Change afoot perhaps?? Nope. None. Targets are the same regardless of whether you work city centre London or the back sticks of Yorkshire. When management wake up and realise that everyone in the office is working a different job and cannot be pigeon-holed with the same targets, morale will improve. I fear however this is not likely. This company model works in London where the big bucks are, outside of this, CoStar is not wanted. The people you speak to are not interested. They do not want to speak to you. Don't waste your time on them, because they don't have the time for you. Someone before said that now that the job market is picking up people are moving onwards, turnover will only increase as this becomes the case. The main problem really is that upper management are like headless chickens. Business environments do change all the time, but there is a difference between change and chasing your tails. This lot have been chasing their tails for so long its only a matter of time before the bubble bursts, and the revolving door is working overtime.

Pros

Very nice office, free nice very healthy snacks, nice good location, nice good transit benefits, nice professional environment, good nice gym. Good intro for learning about commercial real estate.

Cons

Pay is laughable, no opportunities for growth as a researcher only talk, metrics for 2 minute calls bog down actual work. I've been there over a year, I am a "great employee" according to management, and I still make my starting $40,000. I went to college, a good one. Bonuses are small even before taxes.

Pros

Steady pay check and hours are fixed for the most part. Paid holidays and good health insurance provided

Cons

Very boring job, low chances of getting higher pay or moving up. Management is very unprofessional and don't have good management practices . Training is the worst I ever had.
