Pros

Good pay for a glorified telemarketer with essentially no experience. Nice, youthful coworkers. Benefits were pretty good.

Cons

Monotonous job. No job advancement opportunities. Ever changing metrics/goals. Managers have no authority to do anything. You are at the mercy of senior management. Better not fall into the bottom 30, even if you're not sure what metrics you need to meet for that corner (because they're always changing). It's a dog eat dog world, and everyone there is so worried about their job, that no one will put their self on the line if they see something wrong.

Pros

Good pay, good coworkers, mediocre training (at least the training is paid)

Cons

The metrics system is impossible as it is always changing. Managers are rarely aware of the changes. Little opportunity for job growth.

Pros

Not many pro's to this company. The location in the centre of the city is good. The work colleagues below management are united in their depression and there is a lot of black humour.

Cons

The company - 1. Hires and fires at will. There is NO job sceurity. 2. Make it so that not many people make bonus (most get nothing/next to nothing - the CEO was over from USA yesterday and in a talk to us he was laughing at all the money he is saving by not paying bonus). 3. There is not enough time in the day to do the job and you are forced to do unpaid overtime. 4. If you question anything you are branded as negative and soon shown the door. 5. There are little promotion prospects and these are confined to people who say the right things (even if they are terrible at their jobs). 6. The agents hate talking to us and if we do strike up a good relationship with them it is soon squashed by the way we are forced to act on the phone. 7. The training is badly thought out and does not advance your knowledge of the market. 8. Staff turnover is high. I hardly know anyone I work with now. I could go on and on but this is an american company that treats its employees appallingly. If you are working here I STRONGLY advise you to join a union. If you are looking for a job please give it a miss. Do not get stuck in a rut. If you go for an interview please have a look at the faces in the office and the flat atmosphere. Also ask - How many people get bonus/what is the average bonus? What is the turnover of staff? What unpaid overtime will I have to do?
