Pros

Working part-time for Coach for the past year has been my best career experience so far. I'm not sure if I just got lucky working with a fantastic team, but I always felt like I was treated very fairly and appreciated each day. They have a way of making you feel like you're part of a family, and I have never experienced the cut throat competition that sales bring like I did previously working for Bloomingdale's (terrible company!) Overall amazing company, and I love that they are all about hiring from within. We treat customers the way we would want to be treated- Coach is all about making a customer feel genuinely welcome and at ease in a modern luxury environment.

Cons

As every sales job, their is pressure to meet monthly/weekly/daily goals. However, the monthly team share incentives provide the team with so much motivation, and they do not work on commission.

Pros

Great discount, lots of beautiful product, and pretty decent pay & bonus structure. Also, excited about the changes that the company is going through to re-define its brand image. going more high-end.

Cons

Now.. the cons.. there are a few thing that make it very hard to get promoted.. 1.your not willing to relocate 2. your no on the in's with the managment team 3. it seem to appear ( this is my personal experience from working there for over a yearr) there are virtualy NO black people in managment. and hardly any black staff. now i absolutely do no think coach is racist. But managers if they even promote from within their actual store tend to only promote those that they like or who they see fitting into their circle. NOT who is actually the most hard working or qaulified. and since the entire managment team at most stores is white, and 95% of the staff is white, it's simply cause and affect. also, managment is very secretive about open positions, associates wont even be told their was an opening until the position is filled and they announce the new manager. this is regardless, of how many times a person says they are lookin for advancement, they will not even be given a chance unless a manager has basiclly already made up their mind about it. the want you to kiss their feet for a promotion. and coach is really not that different from any other competitor. if you want a promotion quicly. HAVE MANAGMENT EXPERIENCE BEFORE EVEN THINKING BOUT IT.there have been people who were associates and got promoted in about a year straight to associate manager because they already had experience. And essentialy, it mostly all female staff.. IT GETS CATTY!
