Pros

-Lots of training and coaching -Awesome discount -Professional environment to work in -Strong company culture -On par with other retailers regarding work-life balance, time off, etc.

Cons

-Being 'secret shopped' was a constant point of stress. You are always worried you may have missed one of the seven steps of service with a client and you will get crucified if that person happens to be one of the secret shoppers. I absolutely understand why the steps exist but it makes working with clients feel like a less genuine experience. -The Coach brand as a whole is not once what it was. Its been cheapened by the outlets and full price promotions. -Coach needs to stop trying to reinvent itself as an upscale brand. You're never going to be Louis Vuitton, Hermes, or Gucci. Those clients are totally different and will never see Coach as a luxury brand. In going after this ungettable get they have alienated their customer base. This is especially unattainable by skimping on materials and manufacturing products in China.

Pros

I've been with the company for over 7 years in both part and full time capacity. It is a very fun work environment and a great part-time opportunity. Coach is not a commission based selling environment which as it's pros and cons but I like to consider it a pro, as it helps to encourage a team environment. There is always lots of training materials on product knowledge and materials and you are strongly encouraged to take advantage of those tools. In my experience everyone is quick and happy to help you succeed. The company gives you generous discounts but you are expected to carry and wear their products.

Cons

The major con I'd have to point out is lack of opportunities to move up or into the corporate world. It appears to be so difficult to move up or laterally that it feels like you're discouraged from do making any moves. There isn't much turnover on a management level so don't go into an associate position thinking you'll be able to quickly move up.

Pros

You get a discount on the merchandise.

Cons

Yes you get 65% off merchandise, but what is the point in that if you do not earn enough to afford the product you sell? If you get a position it will be part time and do not expect to advance because only a few get to full time positions and benefits. You will however work 38 hours or more a week during peak sales months but you will never get to overtime because they will cut your hours. Also be aware that trying to work a second job along with this one will be hardly possible because they want you to have open availability. The work life balance sucks...yes I know it's retail but if life happens this company will not care to give you the time off required to get things sorted.
