Pros

The company focuses on respect, collaboration, and inclusion. They actively encourage employees to be their authentic selves at work and really care about their team members. There is a focus on training and professional development. Employees have access to structured onboarding and ongoing role-based learning. There is a clear focus on long-term development and a desire to promote internally when roles open up. Leadership is visible and involved and encourages ideas, feedback, and collaboration across departments.

Cons

This is a fast‑paced environment - especially during peak seasons or periods of change. Employees are expected to be adaptable and organized. Not ideal for those seeking a slow or rigid structure. This is a good environment for self‑starters but may feel challenging for individuals who prefer highly static roles or minimal change.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your continued dedication over the years. We’re glad to hear that our focus on respect, collaboration, and inclusion resonates with you, and that you’ve found value in our training, development opportunities, and commitment to promoting from within. It’s also great to know that our leadership team’s visibility and openness to feedback are making a positive impact. We appreciate your candid feedback on the fast-paced nature of our environment. While adaptability is an important part of our work, we’re always looking for ways to better support our teams through periods of change. Pros

I’ve developed some of the best work relationships with individuals who’ve taught/invested in me and I’ll forever be thankful for that. They compensate competitively.

Cons

There is a severe lack of diversity in a leadership. It’s abundantly clear. This company like others has grown into a “who do you know” type of company Instead of letting work ethic, and results determine promotions/opportunities. Coastal’s work culture is no stranger to rumors, gossip, and “drama” that frequently stem from VP’s and RM’s. I’ve worked under 5 different RM’s during my tenure and expectations and job duties were never the same.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for the work you’ve put into the last several years with Coastal Ridge. It’s great to hear that you’ve built strong relationships with colleagues who have invested in your growth—that kind of mentorship is something we value deeply. At the same time, we take concerns around leadership consistency, culture, and diversity seriously. As our organization has grown, we’ve been working intentionally to strengthen leadership development, create clearer career pathways, and continue building a culture where opportunities are driven by performance, growth, and contribution. We appreciate employees who speak candidly about their experiences. Feedback like this helps us continue to evolve and improve, and we'd welcome the opportunity to learn more about the specifics. Please don't hesitate to reach out to the HR team directly.

Pros

Your onsite team will make it or break it! I was lucky enough to work with an amazing onsite team who made my job fun. If you genuinely care about the residents at your property, you may enjoy the environment.

Cons

The corporate teams that dictate everything with only a birds eye view of the property can and will make you miserable. The regional position is impossible to keep filled, so we went every year having a new person in charge who knew nothing about anything. It eventually made the job impossible and caused almost everyone to quit. A lot of the corporate team is cliquey and gossipy and will openly show favoritism. Compensation was not competitive and if you have an investor owned property, you will not be approved for the company standard pay or raises.
