the benefits are some of the best benefits I have ever been offered

Cons

lack of promotional movement, plus it's a government job so the salary isn't equivalent to fair market values.

Pros

The benefits are outstanding and their is definitely job security . The county offered a lot of activities for employees and discounts.

Cons

The department I worked in showed favoritism and loved to micro manage . I felt like I was elementary school all over again . The pay was not enough at all although I was thankful to have a job.

Pros

There are many good people who make up the workforce in Cobb County Government. Within the County, you may possibly have the opportunity to further your career and/or move to another department. The real gem is that in most departments, you are able to interact with the public and provide needed services and assistance.

Cons

Communication needs improving. It seems most employees don't know what goes on in departments other than their own. Leadership is lacking, as the commissioners' arguments are played out in the media. Department heads and division managers seem to not be fully vetted before being hired. Morale is low as a whole.
