Pros

Very flexible with scheduling, strong values, more of a family environment than other places I have worked, upper management cares what employees think, new pay scales have made wages much more competitive with other companies, lots of opportunity to advance within the company.

Cons

It is retail.. so if you don't like working with people, this may not be the place for you.

Pros

They have a good work/life balance, they are able to work around your outside life schedule especially if you're a part time employee. There is always an opportunity for advancement and Coborn's favors hiring internally as opposed to externally. They value their employees and can make for a very healthy work environment.

Cons

Pay raises were minimal, getting 10 cents a raise when everything on your review is above average is disheartening when the guy next to you has an average/below average review gets the same raise. Management has a tendency of being disconnected, and some even treat their employees poorly while that's overlooked by the corporate office.

Pros

Company had great values and management was very understanding. Coborn's is a great company to have your first job since management works well around schedules.

Cons

Promotions did not matter that much. Pay raises were very small. After being there for five years I wa not making as much as I thought I should be.
