Pros

Good people, and the option to work extra hours and log as comp time or overtime is a big plus.

Cons

Healthcare coverage could be better as well as overall compensation. Moving up in this corporation will most likely take a long time.

We are being as progressive as we can on the healthcare front. It has been painful for everyone in the country. Finally, this year we experienced a premium reduction. We will continue to work aggressively on this challenging problem. Regarding the here and now, it is the tendency of corporations to focus on growth goals and performance metrics. But we are committed to focus the overall health of our company and are convinced that growth and performance will be natural outcomes of improved health. To this end, a couple of our largest offices have formed employee groups that are specifically focused on improving the "right now" of how we operate. We are already experiencing positive outcomes. Let me know if there is anything specific you think we should be doing differently. I would appreciate more input. Dave Ruff - President

Pros

The culture within our Company makes this a great place to work. Hard work is recognized and appreciated, making this a very fulfilling place to work. I have been with the Company for five years and am continually impressed with our strong leadership. The Company's leadership roles are filled with a great blend of younger and veteran leaders, which is a sign that leadership positions are available to all those who possess the necessary skills and attributes, not just reserved for those who have been with the Company for a long time. The recent leadership transition has been smooth and the outlook is bright. It is evident that much planning went into the transition plan. Our Company has a philanthropic attitude that is evident in our offices and the communities that we live and work within. I have been impressed by the Company's eagerness to get involved to help those in need and create a strong presence within our local community.

Cons

Our Anchorage office is located in downtown, which is great, but also means that space is limited. The downside being that parking can be tight and personal offices are scarce. Much of our work space is comprised of cubicles, which makes for a generally relaxed work environment and encourages face-to-face collaboration, but can sometimes be distracting to others where the additional privacy of an office would be nice for those who spend much of their time on the phone with clients and co-workers.

Thanks for the feedback regarding the leadership transition that we have recently navigated through. You are correct that we put a lot of time and energy into the plan. It is nice to hear your confirmation that the plan was well executed. Replacing a founder is a monumental transition for any company to go through. We have done our best to honor Dave Coffman and Pat Piermattei throughout the whole process. They have done their best to coach the new leaders and let go of the reigns. We are as unified as ever and the future continues to look bright. We look out for each other and as you highlighted, we look out for our communities. Office space has always been a struggle. Some professional services firms have gone to a zero office format to emphasize the importance of collaboration. Others have mostly private offices. Striking a balance between the two has it's drawbacks, but the collaborative environment mixed with the ability to have private/confidential conversations is a benefit to our culture. We will continue to strive to do our best for our employees, our clients, and our communities. Dave Ruff - President

Pros

Great culture, people, working environment and office facilities. This company is very employee centric, ensuring the overall well being of each employee and that the employee is well equipped to be successful in their work. All projects are approached with a team oriented philosophy and the willingness to help one another for the benefit of the client, the respective team members and the Company as a whole. The company mantra of "Work Hard, Play Hard" is truly realized with the challenging projects balanced through company social events and activities, allowing the morale within the office to remain relatively high.

Cons

As of yet, nothing to report. Although the work is challenging and effort intensive, the overall goal is true balance of professional and personal responsibilities.

It is very encouraging to hear from someone that has been here less than a year that our values seem to be clearly communicated and experienced. Care for our people, concentration on teamwork, and "work hard, play hard" are at the core of who we are. I hope that these values continue to be your experience and I will do my best to continue to influence the company to retain these values. The work we do is challenging because we get hired to solve very difficult problems in a relatively short period of time. This can at times create a lack of balance. But as you mentioned, we have an open door environment, so if you have any concerns about the level of effort please talk to your manager, or general manager, or give me a call. Dave Ruff - President
