Pros
1). You get to work in Enhancement and Maintenance/support projects in your carrier. Saturday, Sunday off.. You might barely remember attending office on Saturday in years. You may happen to land in projects in critical phases but don't worry that wouldn't last long for many months. 2). CMMI level 5, Mid-sized company offers stability. 3). Onsite opportunities early in your carrier... there is politics but at a high level or can say at middle management level 4). People are good, co-operative.... One can enjoy his/her stay in the company. If you happen to come from TCS, Infy, Congnizant.. you will be slightly disappointed.. but if you happen to come from any small company, you will be happy..
Cons
1). The company has setup campus at Greater Noida which has far remote connectivity from Delhi... almost all the new projects are executed from Greater Noida office only. 2). There are some changes in NIIT US subsidiary's entity status. Thus, long term postings at Onsite - USA, Canada attracts double taxation. This is important, if you plan to go to US on L1 or H1B visas make sure you understand this 'double taxation' system... If you fail to understand this, better deny any long term assignments at the first place. 3). The company has almost lost its focus on strengthening its core capabilities. They have moved towards 'cost saving'.... On papers the company vision could be anything but in reality it is - 'a penny saved is penny earned' these days 4). Negotiable the best offer, you can at the time of joining only. Don't expect any good hike afterwards.... gradually, over the years you see that your package/perks have reduced to peanuts... I remember working in previous company(I wouldn't name it here), which had a lines - you share all your worries with us and focus on work.. NIIT has a different version these days --- You only worry about your commutation(from Greater Noida to remote places/your home) and leave every other tension(of work or even personal concerns) aside.. There are not too many companies in Delhi/NCR.. would still recommend ...
