No work-life balance

Pros

The salary is decent, and the benefits are acceptable (for existing employees, anyway). New employees won't receive the same PTO benefits.

Cons

Because of the large offshore component (owned by a company based in India), calls are frequently scheduled for 6 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. It's also an incredibly meeting-heavy culture, with daily check-in meetings on projects with 30 participants, when smaller meetings and/or emails would be a better use of time. There are many days where you take a call at home at 6 a.m., drive to the office, work a 10-hour day, come home, and then have to get back on a call in the late evening. Workload is constantly heavy, making it hard to take time off. Between the workload and the schedule, there's no life balance.

Going downhill fast since Cognizant buy out

Pros

Unlimited PTO, remote capabilities but that soon may be going away. A lot of smart colleagues onshore and some offshore as well.

Cons

Big restructuring that will negatively impact US based employees. Attitude that US based employees are expendable and that they can merely plug in an offshore resource to do the same job when health plan industry and intimate software knowledge has been mostly developed by US long term employees. Clients already complain a lot about the lack of knowledge and accountability of offshore workers.

To clarify the comment regarding unlimited PTO, it was announced on September 22nd that the unlimited PTO policy is staying intact for all current TriZetto employees. Also, we implemented a Flexible Work Arrangement policy in the Spring to allow for more flexibility for employees to work remotely.

Pros

Changed PTO to 'unlimited' although not really. Full time pay with benefits which are lacking coverage. Nice peers to work with.

Cons

Extreme hours required. No recognition or benefit for working over 350 hours in a month for a go live. Management looks for 'scape goat' when things don't go to their liking.
