      Pros

      Employee freedom. I cant think of any other pros after working here for 5 years

      Cons

      Less pay No hike Minimal bonus. Partial towards outsiders. Record attrition rate. Talented people are not retained. etc etc etc.....

      Pros

      It is a job in a recession and it pays the bills, if you are new to the IT business and prepared to work for buttons you can make use of the internal CBT training in your own time

      Cons

      No pension, no pay rises unless you are "In with Management" very bias to bringing in friends from previous jobs low bids to gain contracts then release the staff who were making the services work, illiterate incompetents as Managers and accountants will always have the last say.

      Pros

      Job security, you pretty much have to commit an act of murder to get fired, and to my knowledge, the company has never had layoffs.

      Cons

      If you express any dissatisfaction, upper management gets into your face and says things like "you should be happy you have a job", and "if you don't like it you can quit". I can only assume this is learned behavior that the executives I deal with are practicing because the senior level executives must be saying the same types of things to them.
