Pros

*I learned a lot (and I have 15 years of skincare sales *I got introduced to the medical side of skincare, making me more marketable

Cons

*changing goals midway through the month *despite being a top seller, wasn’t treated well *all about the $$ *No room for growth. They want to keep you as a BDM *Catty people/gossip *way too much to have to manage TWO skincare brands. *the most they pay base is $79k. Period. No negotiating-take it or leave it. *Overall, a very stressful experience. I get it that sales is stressful, but this is another level. I left because it was giving me constant anxiety.

Pros

Yes, sales is inherently stressful no matter what company you work for. However, I found EltaMD/PCA Skin to be especially so, since you are selling two entirely different brands. It is literally like doing twice the work, since EltaMD is only for doctors, and PCA Skin is mostly for Aestheticians. You need two different sets of skill sets. Of course, they don't even really acknowledge that is is far more challenging to sell two brands. This is the main reason I say it is stressful, because you are juggling two entirely different brands, and you are expected to excel at both. I made all of my goals for the companies, which was incredibly difficult. I can't imagine doing that month after month. It's just too much for what they pay. You are doing twice the work, and they don't pay any more of a base salary than the competetors (they say "you can make $100k in commission--that is why we pay a lower base"--which is total BS. Why work here for $79K base, when you are doing twice the work as Alastin or SkinBetter? It took me six months just to get organized, learn the two companies and 100+ products. It is good if you are starting out; however it is too complicated for a beginner. Positive things: It's great on the resume to be able to say you worked for Colgate Palmolive--since they are one of the top companies in the industry. People are impressed by that! c

Cons

*High Expectations *Very Stressful *There is a LOT to learn, since it is two different brands *CRM they use is awful *Learning their systems takes months, yet you are expected to meet goals from day one
