      - many projects going on, plenty of opportunity to learn new stuff - nice and young environment, people are very nice

      - poor opportunties for a career promotion - workload not distributed evenly

      Colgate is a great company if you are a legacy Colgate employee.

      If your not a legacy colgate employe I think that your outside experience is not really welcomed

      Pros

      Strong brands, particularly in developing markets where Colgate is exceptionally strong. Fantastic culture. Places a lot of emphasis on how people get things done being as important as the result. Also has a paternalistic culture with good work life balance. Clear corporate strategy with excellent management communication and access If you have a great idea, the company will embrace it. Fantastic results over time means stock option compensation can be quite valuable. Great place to pursue a global career.

      Cons

      External recruits need to spend time to establish themselves, Colgate does not like to take a risk on external hires. Like most packaged goods companies, increasingly new products and advertising are done in the center versus subsidiaries.
