Politics Over Productivity

Pros

Snacks in break room and weekly luncheons provided and Office Manager was great! Salary was high. Nerf guns to break the day up and/or blow off steam.

Cons

Salary and expected opportunities were bait. Exhausting hours made high salary less than scale. Very high turnover rate and overworked employees led to low moral and inability to build a stable, knowledgeable team. If the good ones don't move one, they'll be let go. A pat on the back may start bleeding later.

Pros

The organization is made up of some of the most passionate and dedicated professionals that I've ever worked with and its a joy to be part of the same team. The culture is ultra collaborative, and the current leadership team listens to and focuses on employee engagement. The company went through a period of transition a few years ago and has come out stronger and with a better vision. The environment is fast paced, and expectations run high, but hard work is rewarded. Like any smaller company, you have to be willing and able to be a self starter, and not expect to operate in a swim lane. Peak times get busy, and a lot is required of each employee, but I've been in the health care industry a long time and this is an industry standard.

Cons

You can end up with a lot on your plate, and have to remember to come up for air, especially during open enrollment season.

Fantastic Organization

Pros

The culture of the Colibrium office is relaxed and fun which makes things easier during high-stress times. The company is flexible and understanding and led by an approachable team with an open door policy. The leaders at Colibrium stand up for their teams and will go to bat for what is right.

Cons

Still a smaller company and a bit resource constrained which can result in needing "all hands on deck" often, and having to share team members more than some would like. I have seen significant improvement in this area in the past 6 months as we have been hiring and ramping up our teams.
