Pros

The best part of my job was getting to work remotely. (However, the majority of the company doesn't get to anymore.) I also had amazing coworkers that I would consider friends.

Cons

I'm surprised people on here rave about the PTO, because it was so bad. Maybe the employees that have been in sales for a long time build up much more! But overall super bare minimum benefits. Speaking of, you need to be in sales to enjoy any sort of company perks. As an outsider business service, my team didn't qualify for the end of year trip and never got to enjoy employee appreciation week or anything like that. The new CEO Mike Fromhold only cares about running a sales company just like Insight Global, so ever since he joined things are only getting worse. The leadership and leadership decisions are NOT it.

Pros

I love my team and the sense of community we foster. I also like the all-company competitions and events that get hosted occasionally.

Cons

The new return-to-office policy is disagreeable (to say the least) and seems like it’s a personal agenda. On the note of personal agendas, it seems like someone higher up is actively slashing Collabera’s once robust culture committee’s impact because they apparently don’t feel like it’s important. For example, we used to celebrate Pride Month, we used to honor AAPI Heritage month; our offices used to have a budget for Black History Month to go dine at black-owned businesses, we used to be able to have monthly happy hours, etc. All of that seems to be gone, and let me say that forcing everyone to return to the office isn’t the way to increase company culture and reignite all of the aforementioned festivities. You have to practice what you preach, and if the people up top act like they don’t care about D&I or employee engagement, why should the little guy care? Another comment on the subject of diversity is that our women in leadership are steadily resigning. The only C-Level women we’ve ever had both quit this year. I can count on one hand the number of Black employees we have, and I cannot think of anyone who is openly gay, because sadly it’s not a safe space to be queer anymore. Bro culture is at an all-time high and “pretty privilege” continues to prevail, too.
