      REAL World Internship Experience

      Pros

      Working at CWP was an amazing experience for me. Most importantly it put me outside of my comfort zone. I was actually in charge of employees, negotiating contracts, and managing the projects through out the summer. The best part though, was the people I met. I made some of my best friends and future business partners through the other interns and Managers. And we had a blast together.

      Cons

      It required a ton of commitment. It wasn't that different from the sports teams I was on, but the work an intern puts in really determines the success they will have.

      Pros

      Working as a branch manager is a great way to learn real-world business skills. Dealing with customers and employees takes a lot of work, but it's all great experience with people skills and resource management.

      Cons

      It is a top-down system, so as a branch manager, I did sometimes feel that I was cheating customers and employees out of money, but in the end, I didn't see that much more of it. It all flowed upward toward the company and managers above. I still made my share, but I think I definitely deserved a bigger cut of my own work.
