Pros

Make your own schedule mostly Meet interesting people but overworked Medical benefits are good but no maternity or paternity for sales

Cons

Salaries are extremely low and they will tell you that they increase but they don't. Salaries have been on hold for years. Stopped 401k match Employees don't travel as often as you would think and even awards for sales have gotten cheap. You win "Collette cash" to apply towards a tour but you need to win multiple in order to pay for it. They just want to keep as much as they can for themselves. They know they can hire young recent grads and make promises that they don't know how to challenge. Office support is slacking and they attack outside sales

Great Outside Sales Team!!!

Pros

I have worked at Collette for over 10 years and I have to say it is a GREAT outside sales team to be a part of! The leadership is recently moved to a "coaching" strategy and is intersted in the full development of the sales team. They are very fair in the commission and compensation package. It is a fun and exciting product that you can be passionate about selling! Who would not love to get to travel the world so that you will know the product that you are selling. I love that they are almost a 100 year old company and have great financial stability!

Cons

I have no cons about working with this company, but if you are not someone that wants to give 100% to thier careers...then it is not for you.

Think twice before considering Collette

Pros

-Generous volunteer time -Co-workers are generally nice and easy to work with

Cons

-Lack of growth potential: CEO talks about growth but there are no actions to grow current talent and people are leaving the company because of it. -Lack of personal time off: all employees under 10 years receive 2 weeks a year but are expected to work 40+ hours every week. -Lack of competitive pay: the range in pay isn't great, it's below the industry average and if you get promoted you won't receive much more in pay. -Lack of qualified & knowledgable management: a majority of the time they talk the talk but don't walk the walk...they like buzz words to sound knowledgable but it's very clear they don't know what they are doing. -Unrealistic expectations: projects pop up every day but don't have clear expectations, goals and/or guidance. Management talks about what they want, don't follow the project along its course and then get mad when the project isn't deemed a "success" (which is a joke because they don't define success).
