Colonial Leadership Team has slowly deteriorated the amazing culture this company had for many years. When Melanie Little arrived as CEO, she had one agenda - position the company for sale. During that process, Melanie and the CLT made significant efforts to execute a series of high revenue projects while chipping away at employee costs to achieve EBITDA targets. Employees, including myself, became overworked while experiencing a slow death of a thousand paper cuts. It started with reducing target bonus %, then reducing pay bands, and finally a reduction in force resulting in many terminations and demotions.
There is little to no opportunity for advancement. Expect below average compensation on salary and bonuses. Speaking of bonuses, don’t expect to receive anything higher than a “Meets Expectations” evaluation regardless of your hard work and contributions to the company. The benefits are par for the course - nothing special (medical, dental, optical, etc.).
If you’re seeking an entry level job - okay - Colonial is a great place to start your career. If not, proceed with caution. There are better opportunities than Colonial in the market. Keep looking.
