40 hours a year to volunteer. Good medical and dental plan. 401 K. Weekends off

I used to work for Sterling Bank and we "merged" with Umpqua Bank. Honestly I hate it. Management is horrible. If you have a problem you can go to higher management cause they don't care. It took 8 months to FINALLY hire someone after being short handed. I was pregnant at the time too and it was stressful. Also, as a formerly sterling employee, I make less than what Umpqua bank people make even if they just get hired. I've been with the bank 3 years. It could just be me, but I don't recommend working there.

Pros

The benefits offered to employees are nice. They have a plan with 0 out f pocket premium for employees. This is a great plus and very unusual now days.

Cons

Everything else! Working with the HR TEAM IS A NIGHTMARE! You are not properly trained because no one has time and you will have an ever increasing workload with no appreciation. They brag about their core values, but when someone actually tries to follow them they are reprimanded and fired for ridiculous reasons! BEWARE!
