Pros

Until recently, I had Umpqua Bank rated 5 stars for stellar culture, incredible flexibility, and a solid work-life balance. Unfortunately, since the merger and associated new leadership each of those areas have changed for the worse.

Cons

We are losing what made Umpqua Bank great. Since the merger and a new CEO, we have unreasonable deadlines, layoffs, and return to office. I really hope things change and we return to what made us the world’s greatest bank but in the meantime morale is at an all time low.

I do not recommend umpqua bank . Before the merger the company was great, however , since the merger and new CEO started the environment has become very toxic. Expectations are unrealistic and they are forcing a return to office even though they promised remote work when many were hired. Team morale is at an all time low , minimal training , and very unhappy workers . Stay away from this bank you can’t trust them whatsoever

Great co-workers who band together and support each other despite management and a human resources department that encourages division and drama.

Cons

Old school management & HR department. You will be rewarded for being lazy and telling management what they want to hear and ostracized if you try to bring any real value or give ANY opinion even slightly contradictory to that of management.
