Good people, good atmosphere, few advancement opportunities
Pros
I love the casual work environment, it really contributes to a friendly feeling in the office. I love the people I work with and there is a tolerance for work/life balance that is helpful. The employee activities are pretty fun as well and they have a good workout class program and decent facility. One word: Discount!
Cons
The location is not good, campus is too small and in a bad spot, there isn't enough parking, the cafe is too small, there is never enough room for cubes. It's clear that the company moved into this building when it was much smaller and it has not invested in facilities since then. The overall direction of the company is unclear and it makes it hard to know if I have a future here. I can see no clear path for career growth for my position. This is a family company and it's very much run by one person. That can be a good or a bad thing and from where I stand it's bad. The leadership should have more input on the direction and strategy of the company. The pay is below average for the area and I've seen repeated examples of the company only paying someone what they're worth when they have another offer on the table.
