Pros

Everyone at the company is quite mission-driven and comes together to move the company forward. I truly feel that the product and code that I am developing will help make the world a better place and strengthen local newspapers and local journalism. Work-life balance is good

Cons

Can be quite fast-paced (not a con for me but can be a con for others!)

Pros

- The team is very friendly and supportive - It's a remote-first company, so you'll be working with people from around the world - We have a lot of partners in the pipeline, so the company is relatively stable for a startup

Cons

- It's fast-paced and you may be expected to wear multiple hats (this is a perk for me, but may not be for others)

Pros

I have full confidence that Column’s flagship public notice platform will soon be the market leader in its space. I’m also sure, given the company’s ambitions and track-record, that over time Column will roll out a suite of successful technology products that go upstream into the workflows of its customers in journalism, government and legal services. Column’s success so far, and my confidence in the company going forward, is a testament to the daily hard work and savvy of everyone working there, from the C-level leadership to the directors and section leads, to the ICs.

Cons

As with all fast-scaling technology companies, some technical growing pains. Have full confidence in the engineering team to confront and resolve!
