Pros

Location, bagels and fruit on payday. That's pretty much it.

Cons

FMLA Customer Service is NOTHING MORE than a glorified call center. I have no idea why a person needs to hold a Bachelor's degree to answer phones. Pay is terrible, benefits are expensive. In this dept., you are on the phone all day, your calls are recorded, and there is a screenshot capture program to watch EVERYTHING you do. You will answer anywhere from 55-80 calls per day for terrible pay. No time at all to meet and get to know coworkers. Very isolating place. Career track that they brag about at interview is very slow to move up. Punching in and out for a salaried employee?! Ridiculous. Don't bother with this place unless you are ABSOLUTELY desperate. Even then, I probably still wouldn't advise working here.

Pros

Location. Pretty easy to get an entry level job at the company.

Cons

Pay is low. Painfully low. Very little opportunity for growth in the company. Employees tend to be cold, not overly friendly. No opportunity to know the people you are working with as all day is spent on the phones with very little flexibility for breaks. Information is not passed on to employees as often as it should be.

Pros

Freedom of remote work Benefits Paid time off Independent work friendly staff work stays at work

Cons

– For education level and skill set requested by the company, the position is underpaid – "Customer is always right" motto is questionable and employees are not usually well protected in these cases it’s more so a pat on the back “you’ll be okay” kind of deal which can be mentally and emotionally taxing - Communication from superiors is not always the clearest and no one ever seems to be on the same page - Tech issues a remediation protocols are subpar – pretty high employee turnover due to poor support, burnout, and again, employee expectations to go above and beyond with no form of appreciation for services either via pay or by word of mouth.
