This place is like a cult

Pros

Good benefits, work was ok.

Cons

Years ago, when I worked there, they had courses for their sales staff that were based on the Dale Carnegie-esque self helpish teachings of a jackhammer named W Clement Stone, called PMA. Positive Mental Attitude. At first they had their agents do the courses which sort of made sense. Then they started targeting the office staff “don’t you want to help yourself?”. I was told it’d help my career there if I took one. But it did not and I felt forced into cult-dumb. The co also whined when I needed a root canal because I had to have several appointments, and they said it was too many so it’d be without pay. They also denied us our coffee breaks (illegal).

Pros

Flexible hours, Helpful Management. The people I worked with were very friendly.

Cons

Very limited real qualified leads, most are old re-visited, or just asking for referrals. High turnover.

Pros

Could make your own schedule

Cons

Micro managed and felt high pressure to meet sales goals. Would go to existing customers and try and sell them additional policies that weren’t truly needed
