Pros

Nice people, lots of opportunities, decent pay and benefits, many options.

Cons

Unstable. I was converted from a contractor to crew and then laid off, with plenty of work to do. No option of moving to another department, just gone. 3 month severance was great!

Pros

Hands on with new technologies, the benefits are some of the best I've ever seen outside of the military. Paid professional training with certs when you're at higher level IT. A lot of non-benefit perks just because you're an employee.

Cons

High stress environment for most departments. They try to promote a work/life balance but fail to deliver. Open door policy isn't "really" an open door policy. They discourage being in a silo, but if you're good at what you do, they push you into a silo and pile projects on you within that skill set. Even salaried employees are micro-managed when they also discourage micro-managment.
