Pros
Medical Benefits. Discount on cable/Internet and some other services. Work from home.
Cons
Inconsistent shifts/pay/policies and overall direction of company. There is a shift-bid every year, so there’s no guarantee you’ll work the same hours/days/etc. Commission drastically changes, which in terms of how much you sell, that’s normal, but to constantly change what the incentive structure is month to month is another. Non-union. They treat working from home like it’s a favor they’re doing for the employees, when in reality they do it because of how much money they save not having to run big call centers, and instead pass on the utility bills to us. They have us do surveys every month and once a year based on how we feel about the company, and if we give low scores they punish the supervisors even though the supervisors have no control over the things we are complaining about, so we are pressured to constantly give high scores to not hurt them. Not a lot of room for advancement.
