Pros

Generally friendly non management Staff free cable & internet Discounted telephone & equipment charges Great Healthcare Benefits Available Free Parking

Cons

Very poor management at a local level. Career Advancement based on the "Buddy System" Lawyer-like policy enforcement (do they like you personally or not?) Late Communication of Major Product Changes (customers often receive changes before employees are aware of them) Conflicting metrics for phone employees (to meet one metric you will fail at another which affects your yearly wage increases) High pressure micro management via electronic statistics monitoring Overall high stress environment

Pros

The lack of HR Senior leadership support has created an environment which the HR Business Partners have come to build a strong team among themselves. We turn to each other often for support and answers. I love the support and being able to reach out to anyone of my peers and get an opinion or answer without feeling like I don't know something. We make it work and we are good at what we do. I love what I do. I'm good at it. I like my teammates and that's why I stay.

Cons

It is a very political environment. More so than I've ever seen elsewhere. HR Senior Management is especially weak. Poor communication. New HR VP still trying to learn the ropes, so can't blame him for what he inherited. At the Senior Director level for the field, poor to no communication. I find out information from Care HR. Favoritism is rampant. Field Ops is catered to. HR BP aren't really business partners. We are gloried generalist.

Pros

Smart people who collaborate to get the job done; high level of integrity; good work environment in a great location; nice amenities. Huge potential following the NBC Universal purchase.

Cons

Organization is pretty flat so there isn't much room for advancement, particularly following the market crash -- advertisers were hard hit. Comcast Spotlight recovering nicely.
