      Getting to spend time with some amazing elderly people who are not at the point of needing facility care.

      Cons

      Hard to get back to back clients, so hours can be sparatic and long. No benefits available.

      Pros

      I have worked with Comfort Keepers for 1-1/2 years now (after retiring from teaching special education) and have enjoyed every minute of it! Though I am only a companion, I feel that I am truly offering an important service for my clients. In general, they are not yet ready for a "facility" so they and their families just need someone to be there to assist in everyday activities that have become too tedious or difficult. A bond develops between us that is very rewarding - and that has happened with every one of my clients! The staff at Comfort Keepers have been supportive and accommodating every step of the way. It is a pleasure to work with them!

      Cons

      Though the staff is very available by phone or in the office, we hardly ever have the opportunity to meet other caretakers.
