Excellent coworkers and advancement opportunities. I have worked part-time as a utility personal banker for over 3 years while I get my accounting degree at Mizzou. Commerce has always been flexible with my school and personal schedule which lets me keep a good work-life balance. I've always felt like they care about me as an employee and as a person. Also, even though I am going into public accounting after graduation, Commerce invested the time and training to upskill me into being able to source loans, open accounts, and even act as a supervisor. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Commerce paid us an extra 20% in hazard pay. Additionally, in an effort to social distance and hedge against a whole branch getting sick, they split the retail staff into two teams. Each week, the teams alternated between working on site and being "on-call" at home. We were paid normally for the week at home and received the 20% premium when working on site. I was blown away by Commerce's generosity and figured writing a nice Glassdoor review is the least I can do.
