Pros

After years of service - Nothing honestly. Never been so disappointed in an employer before. Such a waste of time and looking for something else.

Cons

Bought by commonspirit and nothing but awful changes for us on the frontline. Such a greedy company! Go anywhere but here. They will use you and toss you to the side when it’s convenient for them and that is the truth.

Pros

The co-workers and volunteers are the best. That’s it.

Cons

The company now preaches human kindness, but can’t practice it with their own staff. See the two rounds of layoffs that happened for jobs that weren’t necessary then later hired for. This also happens to managers whose glint score drops, which ironically my new manager’s is terrible and they still work there. The pay is garbage compared to the competitors. Benefits are subpar and have been reduced such as paying for student loans ($100 part time, $200 full time work status) to hope for PSLF. Health insurance isn’t that good and will argue that there’s a provider in your area when there isn’t because the insurance people don’t know what they’re doing. My manager has proven that they lack the necessary skills to communicate anything with staff, can not retain staff, and don’t know how to properly talk with HR how to hire even though they’re hitting productivity due to borrowing from other departments. The staffing is overall unsafe and they’ve been reported to the state for it. The resolution is to only look good when CDPHE is on site and then business as usual. Management and senior leadership treat you as just a number and it is abundantly obvious they don’t care. The unfortunate part is that the community has to suffer from this and they don’t care.

Disappointing, Run away

Pros

Less and less pros. health benefits are decent.

Cons

The whole operation and management of its hospitals in SAC area has gone down to the hell over last year. Extremely poor management, poor communication, focused on the superficial image, but has become rotten inside. It has the lowest pay compare to other hospital systems in the same area. With recent massive layoffs and job freeze, almost every department is under-staffed. Patient census has stayed high for most of the time since the end of last year, however, departments are still asked to reduce their productivity by scheduling less workers daily while they are already under-staff. While there is a huge budget issues, they are spending money and time upgrading some systems that would not benefit patient care and employee experience, No work-life balance. Unfortunately DH has become an unpleasant places to work, Run away from it unless you just come here to get some experience and then move on to other hospitals.
