Pros

There are some good departments and people at Commonwealth. There are issues, however, in other departments that are left unaddressed because everyone is too busy repeating the highly enforced mantra of "oh gollies what a great place this is."

Cons

There are a few departments where favoritism, cattiness, and nepotism rule the day. There are problem managers that personnel and higher ups refuse to do anything about despite the same issues arising again and again with different employees. Personnel exists mostly to hire their own children. You better drink the Kool-Aid. I have worked in much nicer places, but I have never worked in a place where employees are forced to act like brainless zombies repeating what a great place to work this is over and over again. That's the environment at Commonwealth. If you can mindlessly recite that mantra, don't speak up when you think there are problems, and basically act like an obedient sheep without an original thought--then you'll do just great.

Pros

The only benefits to working at this company is that the salary was fair and the benefits were okay compared to other companies

Cons

I had been brought into the company to introduce Quality Control into the company. My manager decided to harrass, bully and threaten me on a routine basis since he was terrified that I was identifying defects which was what I was hired to do and terrified of reporting defects to other managers in IT. My annual reviews were based on perception without any measurable goals or real objectives. I had reported the ongoing threats and bullying by manager and the HR Department did nothing about it. My manager had no technical skills whatsover and the only reason he was employed was due to connections in the company. My advise, stay away from this company it is out of control.
