learning how a cable plant is built

Cons

low pay, long work days, negative energy from management and coworker, favoritism towards employees, wasnt properly trained for job and was expected to perform well immediatley

reasonably new equipment lots of travel

poor coordination and management, piece work doesn't compensate for all the driving

Pros

Decent work environment when there is plenty of work to go around. You can make good money with the unit pay system.

Cons

Hourly rate isn't great compared to unit based compensation. Lack of communication is rampant. Organization is lacking. 3-4 managers for every Splicer.
