Pros

A lot of good, hard working, dedicated people, you just get to the point what can you still care about and not become extremely frustrated. Excellent off site training options and employee benefits.Hope for the future with some projects and IT funds finally being properly allocated to address core functionality. Growing so fast, everyone hopes soon the growth can slow down a bit so a step back can be taken and regroup. If not, regrouping needs to happen concurrently and fast.

Cons

Unclear vision from management when seemingly huge amounts of money is thrown at various projects when other critical objectives have insufficient funding. Money seems to be the reason for the cheapness, duct tape and work arounds within all levels of the organization. Overall frustrating place to work unless you're a workerbee 9-5 er and are able to not really care about the big picture. What's up with the panic and policy of random drug testing? Is that really such a problem that wouldn't be able to be addressed by an employees performance? Seemed when that time came around, a mass panic ensued. Not sure what that's all about, but not many companies don't even do that anymore unless people are a driver or some other type of role. Just odd. Definitely a boys club and as others have said, a lot of politics at all levels. Overall, CHS seems to be a company that has grown way too fast, lost sight of objectives and the value of dedicated employees. Just too many work arounds to get things done right the first time. Definitely too many cooks in the kitchen playing into the politics of it all, meetings end up having too many people in them cause everyone feels threatened if they're not in the loop. Lastly, as others have mentioned, many roles can definitely be performed remotely, but CHS is stuck in the dark ages requiring employees on site. Offices are stuffy and seem to be in a "pretend" corporate world. Productivity and employee moral was much higher in the other " non-corporate" offices.

Pros

Lax management, could be a fun atmosphere

Cons

Management is horrible, all they care about are numbers, they do not care about helping patients, management love to play with their favorite employees, too many cliques, very unprofessional.

Pros

Slightly above average pay for Nashville area, however there are other enterprises in Nashville that pay more. Experience with a large enterprise that spans the USA.

Cons

Vicious culture; seems to come from the top down (CIO) Back-stabbing environment; Management and Executive leadership deaf Zero-to-poor communication from VP level and down. You'll do fine if you're a YES-MAN (or yes-woman) My management would not reply in writing to: writing for time-off requests training requests It's a THROW YOUR NEIGHBOR UNDER THE BUS culture
