Pros
Union helps protect you from the BS of management, but it becomes a time suck and a point of stress
Cons
3 high-level managers cornered me in a closed room and would not let me out of the room until I agreed to enforce an unethical policy, and was denied union representation when I asked for it (they legally have to give it to you). That pretty much sums up the entire experience of working there- management strong arming people behind closed doors and trying to sweep things under the rug from the union, and treating anyone who tries to utilize their union rights as a problem. The pay is not worth it- run for the hills.
