Compass laid off over half of the IT Department in "restructuring". This IT department was hands down the best I have ever worked for in my career. Compass continued to exhibit a pattern of treating their employees like second class citizens throughout 2020.
People chosen to remain in IT was completely random or chosen by favoritism, either way not a good way to choose. The rest were moved to a new role called Agent Experience Manager or laid off. The Agent Experience Manager position was a combination of 3 different positions that the company had previously. They went from specialization expertise to the Swiss army knife approach.
The company cut 15-20% of the workforce due to Covid-19, then cut the remaining employees salaries by 20%, unless you happen to be lucky and be an engineer. The CEO can be seen on the news saying that business is back to pre Covid-19 levels, yet the pay cuts remain in effect.
12 months ago I would have told you that Compass was the best place I've ever worked, but the cuts, management changes, company restructuring and Covid-19 implications have all changed the business tremendously.
