Pros

The employees who I work with on my team are the best in the business, and make all the bad things that go along with working at Compass tolerable.

Cons

Not the same company as it was two years ago. The CEO and executive leadership does not care about the employees, only the agents. No pay raises in two years, yet constantly having perks removed or additional costs added for insurance. Forced to return to office 5 days a week, when the company thrived during the remote period. The business blames the employees and the housing market instead of taking any accountability.

Pros

Modern offices and 6amers club, getting commissioned paid 1-3 weeks after transaction close date.

Cons

Sales Managers are apathetic, judgmental, have their favorites. Compass is awful in how they treat their employees and how they treat their agents. They say one thing but do another. They added several new fees this year. Your commission split is only good for 2 years and then they negotiate you at a lower level. Team leaders get away with murder and treating their agents like crap. In a dispute, they don't even ask for the agents side of the story- just the team leader and then back them up. There are some awful teams too. Collaborate without ego- only a few agents embody that. Even the splits are bad. With no incentives being offered to buy agents into the brand anymore, it's understandable why agents leave once they're done their contract. If you're an agent reading this, stop giving away so much commission and join a better brokerage that actually practices what they preach. Compass masterminds do not add much value for experienced agents.

Some really talented people completely unable to properly leverage that talent because of senior management incompetence.

Cons

A toxic culture where people are fired for disagreeing with senior leadership. Ego driven decision-making without any clarity around future financial viability.
