Pros

Exceptionalism: From start to present - After two months of working with Compass, I've never seen a company so hands on who takes the time to get to know you and see if it's a good fit for both parties (Welcome to the Cool Kids Club). They listened and turned over every rock possible and looked for reasons why something was possible vs why it's not possible. From my first conversation everyone was open minded to working with a niche company that was outside their normal scope of business. They laid out a clear path to help catapult our business and personal brand to the next level. After a good month of going back and forth. They learned how my business operates and showed me the areas my business can be more efficient. They welcomed me aboard and it felt like home. I even got a call from the CEO Robert Reffkin amongst a handful of other leaders. They listen. With everyone and their dog trying to get their real estate license and changes in technology I wanted to partner with a company that was forward thinking who wasn't like the rest. You know... bring on a million agents, throw them against the wall and see who sticks. To me, that's NOT the formula to sustained success. I wanted to be around people who took their life and business as serious as I did who also wasn't afraid to hit up happy hour and throw down a few cold ones lol Full time agents who are professional and passionate about the client experience and holding themselves to the highest standard. THAT'S the type of people I want to be around!! Thats what I found here amongst a WHOOOOOLE staff who works for me. As a business owner I found myself working FOR my business vs my business working for me. They gave me the tools and resources to accelerate our growth, and I'm looking forward to having the greatest year out of the 7 years of being an Agent. Thank you Compass!!

Pros

Company has more money than they know what to do with, being thrown at them by big-money investors looking for an obscene IPO return. No shortage of marketing and word-of-mouth hype. Agents are often interested in joining because of marketing dollars thrown at them. Employee events and community support is largely PR-based.

Cons

Talk of Compass being a "technology company" is laughable. Platforms offer similar functions and features of many other real estate software solutions. Company is filled with prima donnas tripping over themselves to achieve status. Leadership is much more focused on buying market share than actually earning it.
