Pros

Compassus has a patient, family focused culture that is always striving to make improvements. My experience with upper management has been nothing except supportive. This is the first company I have been a part of where they actually value and make changes based on the feedback of the staff who are out in the field.

Cons

Health insurance is a little more expensive compared with my previous employer

Pros

The leadership of the company is ethical and always striving to do what is best for the patients and families that we care for, and the thousands of colleagues that it employs. I am confident that the company is stable and will continue to be a force of good in end-of-life care. As the company grows there are challenges that present themselves, eg. communication, but the leadership recognizes that is making and has made efforts to improve. And that is the biggest "pro" in working for Compassus. When challenges occur, which they will for any healthcare company, the leadership recognizes it and strives for excellence.

Cons

Healthcare is changing- for everyone. With increased regulation and reimbursement cuts, all healthcare companies will have to make difficult decisions and Compassus is not immune to that. It is impossible to satisfy everyone 100% of the time.

Pros

GREAT SALARY, Great management when I first was employed. Great upper management currently. Good benefits. Would have stayed to work here for the rest of my life if lower management hadnt changed.

Cons

Frequent firings. Benefits decreased, but still good. New management has no clue how to show respect to experienced nurses. Under the auspices of "trying to be helpful" they micromanage, to the point of being insulting. The new director is overwhelmed, and underwhelming.
