Optimistic for Company Future

Pros

I have seen a lot of change at the company over the past few years, and sometimes it did not seem like good change at the time but overall I believe that the company is on a positive path now and that the future is bright. The change in leadership in 2019 and 2020 have brought in some energetic executives that seem to be committed to the long-term success of the company, especially the new CEO, and there's a genuine interest in improving the employee experience and company culture versus just meeting board demands. A lot of compassion has been shown to staff during COVID, and top-level leadership have made themselves personally accessible to everyone so it really does feel like a "team" even while everyone is remote. It also looks like more improvements are on the horizon, including increased reinvestment back into the product and staff. There do seem to be opportunities for individual career growth. The company isn't held to some arbitrary tiered program for promotion and advancement like big corporations would be, and the company can only grow from here so now is a good time to be involved with the company for moving upwards.

Cons

The amount of change at the company has been overwhelming, and even though looking ahead there could always be additional changes that would be growth-related and mostly positive, I hope that leadership has learned how to be more transparent and supportive to staff in the future since it has not been an easy road for those who have been around for years. Benefits could use improving. It was more understandable when the company was global but this year would have been a prime opportunity to roll out new perks or even just lower premiums. I've worked at much smaller companies with much better benefits and company matching.

Not stable. Continually restructuring and reducing staff. Multiple areas of leadership lacks knowledge of product functionality.
