Pros

you can do what you want when you want, as long as you meet sla's and turn in billable hours, even if they are concocted (they encourage this) your a winner!

Cons

Management is bonus driven,sales pens unrealistic contracts without consulting field but doesnt care, management hires "temps" to service projects for long term clients and the results are disastrous, payscale isnt much better than fast food joints...the company treats the techs like dirt though the techs create the income...like I said it is bonus driven, managagement will not supplyneeded help or supplies if it will detract from their bonuses, blaming the techs in the end

Pros

Certs are paid for by the company.

Cons

Senior management no longer has the backs of the people in the field. Contracts are written without the resources to support them fully, and it's up to the people in the field to deal with it.
